Partner Jonathan K. Tycko Coauthors Article on Class Action Fairness Act of 2005 in Prestigious ANTITRUST Magazine

The Fall 2005 issue of Antitrust Magazine, a prestigious American Bar Association journal of antitrust commentary and analysis, includes an article co-authored by Jonathan K. Tycko and Bruce V. Spiva analyzing the Class Action Fairness Act of 2005 from the plaintiffs’ perspective. Enacted in February 2005, the Class Action Fairness Act purports to make procedural changes in the filing of Class Action law suits and to give cases of national importance a venue in federal courts. However, many of these changes could have an adverse effect on the ability of plaintiffs (in many cases consumers and civil rights litigants) to prevail in litigation.
