Freightliner Engine Defect Investigation

Tycko & Zavareei LLP is currently investigating whether the Exhaust After-Treatment Systems in Freightliner/Detroit Diesel engines are defective, causing the engines to lose horsepower and shut down.

Consumer complaints have arisen concerning this Exhaust After-Treatment System and initial research has led us to believe that the issue is due to a manufacturer’s defect. Our research indicates that failures of the system often require authorized, dealer technicians to repair the engines, but that such repairs are not effective, leading to costly repeated failures and repeated repairs.

If you or someone you know has a Freightliner vehicle and has experienced a malfunction with its Exhaust After-Treatment System, please fill out the contact form below and someone from our firm will contact you about your experience. You may also call our firm directly at (202) 973-0900.
