Sophia Goren graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest University with a degree in Political Science. She received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2015, where she received the Jurisprudence Award in Conflict of Laws. While in law school, Ms. Goren was involved in the Berkeley Law Mock Trial Team and placed first in the Bales Mock Trial Competition. She also participated in the California Asylum Representation Clinic, through which she successfully represented an individual seeking political asylum in the United States.
Ms. Goren joined Tycko & Zavareei LLP as a fellow in 2015. Since joining the firm, Ms. Goren has litigated numerous consumer class actions in both state and federal courts. She has led pre-suit investigations, navigated complex discovery disputes, and drafted dispositive motions in a wide variety of cases, including those involving defective products, false advertising, breach of contract, wage and hour, and constitutional issues. A third-generation plaintiffs’ lawyer, Ms. Goren enjoys challenging the predatory practices of large corporations and is committed to representing plaintiffs in their pursuit for justice.
Ms. Goren is a member of the California and District of Columbia bars.
