Public Interest Fellowship

In addition to our fine roster of attorneys, Tycko & Zavareei is proud to offer a 2-year public interest fellowship to recent law school graduates.  The Tycko & Zavareei Public Interest Fellowship, founded in 2012, is an excellent opportunity for talented young lawyers to work side-by-side with the seasoned litigators of the firm, as well as spend approximately two months of the fellowship working at some of the District of Columbia’s finest non-profit organizations.  Currently, Tycko & Zavareei is partnering with five exceptional non-profit organizations–Public Justice, Human Rights First, The National Women’s Law Center, Bread for the City, and the National Consumer Law Center®–in this unique and exciting program.  The Tycko & Zavareei Public Interest Fellowship is another important way that the firm turns its strong commitment to public interest work into action.

The current Tycko & Zavareei Public Interest Fellow is Phoebe Wolfe, a graduate of Columbia Law School and Jennifer Thelusma a recent graduate of Duke University Law School.

We accept and consider applications from 3L law students and judicial law clerks on a rolling basis, and encourage early applications.  Mid-August, however, is the deadline for applying for the following year’s Fellowship.

The public interest fellowship position for Fall 2019 has been filled.  We are accepting applications for the Fall 2020 two-year fellowship in our Washington, DC office. Below is the 2020-2022 Fellowship announcement.
