In addition to our fine roster of attorneys, Tycko & Zavareei is proud to offer a 2-year public interest fellowship to recent law school graduates. The Tycko & Zavareei Public Interest Fellowship, founded in 2012, is an excellent opportunity for talented young lawyers to work side-by-side with the seasoned litigators of the firm, as well as spend approximately two months of the fellowship working at some of the District of Columbia’s finest non-profit organizations. Currently, Tycko & Zavareei is partnering with five exceptional non-profit organizations–Public Justice, Human Rights First, The National Women’s Law Center, Bread for the City, and the National Consumer Law Center®–in this unique and exciting program. The Tycko & Zavareei Public Interest Fellowship is another important way that the firm turns its strong commitment to public interest work into action.
The current Tycko & Zavareei Public Interest Fellows are Kyra A. Taylor, a recent graduate of University of California, Berkeley School of Law and Rebecca Azhdam, a recent graduate of Columbia Law School.
We accept and consider applications from 3L law students and judicial law clerks on a rolling basis, and encourage early applications. October 15, however, is the deadline for applying for the following year’s Fellowship.
The public interest fellowship position for Fall 2018 has been filled. We are accepting applications for the Fall 2019 two-year fellowship in our Washington, DC office beginning August 2018. Below is the 2019-2021 Fellowship announcement.
