Public Interest Fellowship

In addition to our fine roster of attorneys, Tycko & Zavareei is proud to offer a 2-year public interest fellowship to recent law school graduates.  The Tycko & Zavareei Public Interest Fellowship, founded in 2012, is an excellent opportunity for talented young lawyers to work side-by-side with the seasoned litigators of the firm, as well as spend approximately two months of the fellowship working at some of the District of Columbia’s finest non-profit organizations.  Currently, Tycko & Zavareei is partnering with six exceptional non-profit organizations–Human Rights First, The National Women’s Law Center, Bread for the City, National Consumer Law Center®, Public Justice, and Tzedek DC–in this unique and exciting program.  The Tycko & Zavareei Public Interest Fellowship is another important way that the firm turns its strong commitment to public interest work into action.

The current Tycko & Zavareei Public Interest Fellows are Jennifer Thelusma recent graduate of Duke University Law School and Leora Friedman a recent graduate of Georgetown University Law Center.

We accept and consider applications from 3L law students and judicial law clerks on a rolling basis, and encourage early applications.  September 30th, however, is the deadline for applying for this  year’s Fellowship.

The public interest fellowship position for Fall 2020 has been filled.  We are accepting applications for the Fall 2021 two-year fellowship in our Washington, DC office. Below is the 2021-2023 Fellowship announcement.
