Tycko & Zavareei LLP is pleased to announce that Andrea R. Gold, the firm’s Managing Partner, has been elected as one of four new members of the Board of Directors of Public Justice.
Founded in 1982, Public Justice takes on the biggest systemic threats to justice of our time – abusive corporate power and predatory practices, the assault on civil rights and liberties, and the destruction of the earth’s sustainability. The Foundation’s Board helps guide the organization’s strategic priorities in litigation, advocacy, fundraising, communications, and operations and is comprised of advocates and litigators from across the United States.
“We are thrilled to welcome these inspiring leaders to the Public Justice Board,” said Public Justice CEO Sharon McGowan. “They each bring a unique perspective, and deep expertise, across a wide range of issues to our already diverse and impressive family of Board Members. From fighting for economic justice and the rights of consumers, to taking on drug companies and litigating class action suits, these four new members represent some of the most respected social justice litigators in the country. Their service and partnership will further amplify Public Justice’s commitment to ensuring our courts are open and working for all. I am excited to work with them as advocates for justice and stewards of this organization’s great legacy.”
Andrea has spent her legal career advocating for consumers, employees, and whistleblowers. Andrea has deftly litigated numerous complex cases, including through trial. Her extensive litigation experience has resulted in case recoveries of over $175 million in both national class action cases as well as in qui tam whistleblower litigation.
“I am deeply honored to join the Board of Public Justice. I am devoted to helping this superb organization in its work on the front lines of high impact litigation nationwide aimed at protecting our most vulnerable communities,” said Ms. Gold.
