Tycko & Zavareei LLP offers a post-graduate public interest fellowship designed for recent law school graduates with a demonstrated commitment to a public interest legal career. The Tycko & Zavareei LLP Public Interest Fellowship is a two-year program, with a new term beginning each fall. Fellows are employees of the firm for the duration of their program. Recruitment for the fellowship takes place once per year, in the summer, for the program term beginning the subsequent fall. See below for additional information about this unique program.
For the 2026–2028 Tycko & Zavareei LLP Public Interest Fellowship, recruitment will occur in Summer 2025, beginning with an online application process open to rising 3L law students (2026L) and recent graduates (2025L) entering clerkships or other public interest fellowships. Following several interview rounds, hiring decisions will be made in Fall 2025. The 2026–2028 Fellowship will then commence in Fall 2026 and conclude in Fall 2028.

The Tycko & Zavareei LLP Public Interest Fellowship, founded in 2012, provides a unique opportunity for talented new lawyers to work side-by-side with the seasoned litigators of the firm. Fellows obtain a broad base of substantive and practical training, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship across all facets of public interest litigation. In addition to the significant learning and contributions that happen within the firm, Fellows spend approximately three months of their program serving as visiting pro bono fellows to some of country’s finest non-profit organizations.
