25 July 2024. We are pleased to announce that TZ Partner Katherine M. Aizpuru has been appointed as a member of the Plaintiffs’ Interim Executive Committee in the consolidated class action against Frontier Communications Parent, Inc.
The United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division has consolidated several lawsuits arising from a significant data breach affecting over 751,000 Frontier customers. The breach, which occurred in April 2024, resulted in the theft of sensitive personal information including names, social security numbers, addresses, and financial data.
This appointment recognizes Katherine’s expertise in complex litigation and her commitment to protecting consumers’ rights. As part of the leadership team, she will play a crucial role in pursuing justice for those affected by this serious breach of data security.
The lawsuit alleges that Frontier failed to implement adequate security measures to protect customer data, violating its duty of care and potentially contravening statutory obligations. The plaintiffs seek to hold Frontier accountable for the increased risk of identity theft and the ongoing impact on their lives.
The case is Amber Wilson, individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated v. Frontier Communications Parent, Inc., Case No. 3:24-cv-01418-L in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division.
