15 February 2023. Today we are welcoming to the TZ team Marika O’Connor Grant, who is joining as an Associate.
Ms. O’Connor Grant is a 2020 grad from Stanford Law, where she was a member of the Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties and Immigrants’ Rights Clinic. During her law school summers she worked at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and then at Debevoise & Plimpton. After earning her J.D., she spent the fall of 2020 as a vetting attorney for the Biden-Harris Transition Team. She then joined Cooley as a litigation associate, where she spent eight months focused on business litigation and pro bono matters, before going on to complete a one-year clerkship for Judge Wilhelmina Wright (District of Minnesota). Ms. O’Connor Grant earned her B.A. in 2014 from Carleton College, where she graduated magna cum laude, majored in Political Science, and played club lacrosse. She is a member of the California bar.
A morning lark and athlete, she is an avid runner, rock climber, hiker, skier, and overall outdoor adventure enthusiast. As for what she’s looking forward to most about TZ – getting to work with great people and on cases that help others.
