September 28, 2022. Tycko & Zavareei LLP is pleased to welcome four new attorneys to the firm. The two Public Interest Fellows for the 2022-2024 Fellowship term are Schuyler Standley in the Washington, D.C. office and Cort Carlson in the Oakland, California office.
Both Public Interest Fellows are graduates of the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. Mr. Carlson traces his passion for public interest advocacy to early experiences working on issues that uniquely affect vulnerable communities, including poverty, incarceration, environmental harm, and personal data protection and has pursued academic and professional experiences accordingly. Ms. Standley focused her law school experience on advocacy at the intersection of technology and civil rights, spending three semesters in the Samuelson Law, Technology, and Public Policy Clinic.
New Associates Gemma Seidita and Cameron Partovi are joining the firm in the Washington, D.C. and Oakland, California offices respectively. Ms. Seidita’s practice focuses on civil rights cases and advocating for whistleblowers and consumers. She was previously an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Cooley, LLP, where she represented clients in complex commercial litigation and investigations. Mr. Partovi was previously an associate at Bird Marella, P.C. in Los Angeles, where he represented individuals and consumers in complex commercial actions. Ms. Seidita earned her J.D. and an LLM in international and comparative law from Duke University School of Law. Mr. Partovi is a graduate of Harvard Law School.
“We are delighted to welcome Cort, Schulyer, Gemma, and Cameron,” said Andrea R. Gold, Partner, “and look forward to their important contributions to the Firm’s work in seeking justice for everyday Americans.”
