Last week, on September 29, 2022, the Superior Court of California County of San Francisco granted final approval of a non-reversionary $38 million settlement that will reimburse purchasers of Lash Boost, a makeup product that contained Isopropyl Cloprostenate—an ingredient associated with serious side effects.
The settlement also includes injunctive relief in the form of disclosures that, going forward, will warn consumers about some of the possible risks of Isopropyl Cloprostenate.
“We are pleased with this sizeable deal that will provide real compensation to users of Lash Boost,” said Annick M. Persinger, one of the two named co-leaders of Class Counsel. “This is an incredible result for the class that ends more than four years of hard-fought litigation in multiple forums.”
